Renewed appointment of Dr. Georg Müller as Chief Executive Officer of MVV Energie AG
At its meeting on 9 March 2023, the Supervisory Board of the Mannheim-based energy company MVV extended the appointment of its Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Georg Müller, for a period of up to five years.
This was announced by the Supervisory Board Chairman, Mannheim’s Lord High Mayor Dr. Peter Kurz, after the Supervisory Board meeting held on the day before MVV’s Annual General Meeting in Mannheim. Dr. Müller has been MVV’s CEO since 2009. “Under Dr. Müller’s management, MVV has developed into one of Germany’s leading energy companies and, if industrial steam is included, the country’s second-largest supplier of district heat. By acting early to align MVV to sustainability, Dr. Müller has provided key momentum for its strategic course. As the ‘architect’ of the Mannheim Model, he has further expanded MVV’s pioneering role in the energy transition. By extending his appointment, the Supervisory Board has underlined its trust in Dr. Müller and in the continuation of the company’s sustainability strategy”, added Dr. Kurz. “The Supervisory Board is looking forward to maintaining this longstanding and highly successful relationship.”
