Dr. Gabriël Clemens appointed as Chief Executive Officer of MVV Energie AG
At its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of MVV Energie AG appointed Dr. Gabriël Clemens (53) to be Chief Executive Officer of MVV Energie AG as of 1 April 2025. He will thus succeed Dr. Georg Müller, who has managed MVV as its CEO since 1 January 2009 and will stand down at the end of 31 March 2025.
Dr. Clemens has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of MVV for a five-year term. As CEO Green Gas, he is currently in the management of Eon Hydrogen GmbH in Essen, where he is responsible for hydrogen activities at the energy company Eon. Prior to this, he held various senior positions within the RWE Group and was, among other roles, an Executive Board member (technology division) at the Saarland-based company VSE AG from 2014 to 2021.
