MVV Energie AG completes sale of its Czech subsidiary MVV Energie CZ to Cube Infrastructure Managers
Having obtained approval from the relevant supervisory bodies and fulfilled the other closing conditions, German-based MVV Energie AG successfully completed the sale of its Czech subsidiary MVV Energie CZ to Cube Infrastructure Managers as of 9 December 2022.
The agreement underlying the acquisition by Cube Infrastructure Fund III was signed by the energy company and the mid-market infrastructure investor in August 2022.
MVV Energie CZ provides services to customers in 15 cities and is among the leading producers and distributors of heat in the Czech Republic. In 2021, the company sold around 690 GWh of heat and around 170 GWh of power in the Czech Republic and generated Euro 78 million of revenue. By acquiring MVV Energie CZ, Cube Infrastructure Managers is strengthening its commitment to delivering sustainable infrastructure assets to local communities and authorities. It intends to support the newly acquired company in growing and developing its portfolio.
