Christian Specht elected as new Supervisory Board Chair of MVV Energie AG
At an extraordinary meeting held on 2 August 2023, the Supervisory Board of Mannheim-based energy company MVV Energie AG elected Mannheim’s designated Lord High Mayor, Christian Specht, as the Supervisory Board Chair.
In parallel to assuming responsibility as Lord High Mayor of Mannheim, he will thus succeed Dr. Peter Kurz, the Supervisory Board Chair to date, in MVV’s Supervisory Board and the associated supervisory board committees as of 4 August 2023.
The Lord High Mayor of the City of Mannheim is appointed to the Supervisory Board of MVV Energie AG pursuant to the company’s Articles of Incorporation. As principal shareholder, the City of Mannheim holds a 50.10 percent stake in the energy company.
